To recognize the concept economic activities and define the concept
correctly when labeled and unlabelled examples are given.
Students should have an idea about the human activities.
Observing, co-relating, thinking, experimenting, formulating,
hypothesis, inferring, making operational definition community.
Concept attainment model.
Teacher presents the problem in the class and asks the students to
analyze it. Students discuss well and
then analyze the thinking strategies.
Here the teacher is acting as demonstration. She is directing the students to arrive a
particular concept.

I have a particular idea in my mind now, I am going to present an
idea if it is like the one that have in my mind I will say “yes”. If it is not of that type, I will say
“no”. While I show these you should carefully
observe the nature of each and find what idea I am having in my mind. Ok.
Showing the flash card and says, look at this there is an idea in my
mind.
‘Yes’ this is an example for a particular type of idea which is in my
mind.
Teacher shows another flash card and says.
‘No’ this is not an example for the idea, which is in my mind.
‘Yes’ this is another example for the idea.
‘No’ this is not an example for the idea.
‘Yes’ this is an example for the idea.
‘No’ this is not an example for the idea.
Teacher asks, here, can you infer anything from these examples about
the nature of the idea about that I have in my mind? (If the learners could not generate a
hypothesis teachers should provide additional examples and non-examples.)
Teacher provides few examples and to say ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

Teacher further clarifies that the activities which are aimed for
earning money are known as “economic activities” and then students are asked
to give examples related to economic activities and also students are
appreciated by the teacher.
